To find out about new workshops being planned in your area:
- Check the master list of past workshops and future workshops around the world
- Watch for emerging news from @railsbridge on Twitter and at our Facebook page.
- Organize a local workshop! Every one has been created by volunteers. We provide an organizers guide, curricula, and support. See the Resources for Organizers page for more information.
Be sure to read individual events’ announcements for registration information. Workshops often have waiting lists, so be sure to confirm you’re enrolled before arriving at the venue.

[...] excited that this workshop format will be replicated in New York City and San Francisco (soon to be announced) on the same weekend May 20-22nd. I believe that what is magical about the workshops we have done [...]
I am very interested in the what the workshop has to offer. Will there be any workshops in the New York area?
There isn’t a New York workshop currently scheduled. All workshops are created by volunteers, so the best way to get an event in your area is to organize a workshop. Interested?
What is meant by “all day”? What about people that have work Fridays? Can we not make these a Sat/Sun event? :/ super bummed. Is it possible to just go to the Saturday portion?
thanks,
Sydney
Hi Sydney, check out a workshop registration info link in our calendar of upcoming events to get an idea of what the schedule is typically. They’re 1.5 days: Friday evening and a full day on Saturday.
Precise time schedule varies. Each workshop organizer sets a schedule that best meet the needs of host and volunteers. Generally it will be something like Friday evening from 6 to 9 plus Saturday from 9 to 4 (followed by afterparty).
The workshops are organized and staffed entirely by volunteers, and offered entirely free to all students. We show our appreciation to volunteers (and have kept them coming back for years!) by making a schedule that recognizes their need to have some weekend.
Friday may not be skipped. More info in the Student FAQ.
We hope you’ll be able to participate in a future workshop!
